Thinking About Thinking, Inc
In 2020 I founded a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization called Thinking About Thinking, which aims to help cultivate and spread the leading ideas about intelligence.
This has grown rapidly, and we now have a great team involved!
Our current activities include running quarterly expos on algorithmic innovation and entrepreneurship, and a large annual conference on critical questions at the foundations of understanding and simulating intelligence (the “mathematics” of neuroscience and AI.
Algorithmic Entrepreneurship
Every quarter I run an expo on AE:
This is a new field: the use of algorithms from modern machine learning to automate the generation of start-up ideas themselves.
The next one will be held in Cambridge, MA, on the 30th November 2023.
Come check it out!
AI / Mathematics of Neuroscience
Every year I run a conference on artificial intelligence and the mathematics of neuroscience and AI, along with Professor Dan V. Nicolau Jr:
This conference is radical: we want to challenge and progress our understanding of the brain, mind, and intelligence by introducing new unifying ideas and methods from mathematics (broadly defined).
For 2024 we have five sessions:
Biocomputation
Neural Theory
Cognitive Science
Artificial Intelligence
The conference will be in May, in Rome.
We encourage you to apply!
